I totally had several epic periods in my first few months of hbc. Apparently, it’s pretty normal. The nurse I spoke to at the time referred to it as both “breakthrough bleeding” and “spotting up to the volume of a normal flow” and I was like “uh okay.” Because seriously, who calls bleeding “up to the volume of a normal flow” “spotting”?

But I digress. Basically, she told me to keep taking it. If you’re really worried, I’d call your pcp or her assistant, though.
